You can export documents and multimedia files from IPRO Eclipse Publish Case. This guide will walk you through:
- Exporting documents by printing or saving to PDF
- Exporting documents using the “Export Data” feature, and
- Exporting video or audio files
Exporting documents by printing or saving as PDFs
To print or save a single document, first click on the document. To print or save multiple documents select the documents then click the printer icon:

The Print window will appear. In the Print Options tab of that window, the Documents section will give you options: print the current page of a document, a page range, an entire document, or selected documents if you’ve already selected multiple documents.

The next step is to select whether you want to physically send the document to the printer or print to PDF.
To physically print a document, select your printer using the drop down on the “Printer” box on the top right of the Print Options window. Your printer will begin printing after you hit the “Print” button on the bottom of the screen.
To export by printing to PDF, follow the same steps above, select Adobe PDF as your printer, and another window will appear for you to name the file and select the location of where you want to save the document.

This process is best for printing documents to take to court, review with clients, experts, etc.. A potential negative is that the printed document will not include searchable text or any metadata. If you want to be able to search through the content of the document electronically, you will need to OCR the document separately.[1]
Exporting documents using the “Export Data” feature
You can also export documents using the “Export Data” feature. Use the Eclipse button on the upper left-hand corner of the workspace:

Right-click on the Eclipse button and select Export Data.

Then select CSV, and choose a file location.

This will not export the actual documents, but it will export the metadata and the links to the documents. This is not the most viewer-friendly option, but it is useful if you’d like to import into another review platform or to create a hyperlinked spreadsheet in Excel. To export data to load files to use in another review platform, select the DAT option. To create a spreadsheet to view in Excel, select the CSV option. You can also use the TrialDirector option to import the documents into TrialDirector to use in court.

Exporting audio and video files
To export a video or audio file out of Eclipse use the paperclip icon in the left column. Select the file by double clicking on it.

This will open the video file in your default player. You will need to follow the steps of your default player to save the file to another location.
For example – if using the VLC player, while the video is playing, right click in the video screen. Select Tools, then Media Information. The file location is visible at the bottom of the window that pops up. Copy the file location and paste it in file explorer so that you can see the video file. Then move the video file and save it.
